Yup, it is a known issue.
The Sawtooth version that Creditcoin is currently using does not readily remove inactive peers, and you may see the same peer multiple times from your list.

I suspect that they are several machines that using the same gateway like ip-router. They have to set up port-forwarding differently for each machines, but I think many miners won’t.

Are there instructions posted somewhere to perform this task? I can write a script to automate that procedure if desired.

Port forwarding can be automatically with UPnP (Universal Plug and Play).
Examples of programs that support UPnP are as follows.
1.uTorrent / bitTorrent
2. peer-to-peer multiplay game
3. Synology NAS
4. etc…
I have never seen a case of UPnP support in the blockchain industry.
This is because they generally require specialized knowledge from blockchain miners.
It doesn’t have to be more convenient than necessary to mine the blockchain.
